Tried a ton of bikes, this was the best
I ride my 2017 Urban (similar to the Sport) ~15 miles/25km a day commuting to work and I absolutely love it. I rode 15-20 different bikes during my hunt and the OHM just blew the others away. There are lots of things that I liked about the OHMs - mountain bike quality components and construction, wide tires, bright headlight, suspension up front, removable display, etc., etc. - but the thing that ended up really standing out is something I didn't even know I was looking for until I found it in the OHM. I knew I wanted a class 3 speed pedelec to keep up with downtown traffic. But what I hadn't considered the need to get up to speed quickly. I rode a bunch of mid-drive class 3s but they took FOREVER to get going. The hub drive on the OHM accelerates fast. The only other bike I rode that compared was a $6,500 Stromer.

AN OHM MTB FAN
Ive been a cyclist since 1975. I've discovered a way to extend my cycling career, an ''OHM Ebike''. Mountain biking for me is a new dimension. I considered other makes such as BMW but did not care for the crank style power drive system. All that torque is past on to the chain and the rear cassette, resulting in a predicted increase in wear. The primary reason, I chose OHM was of the rear hub mounted motor, providing direct assist to the rear wheel to a maximum of 600 watts equal to .8 hp. Maintenance cost are therefore reduced. My ride topography is hilly rural roads, trails and very steep grades in the East hills of Kelowna. The bike has 3 inch knobbies. Let it snow!! I bought a second MTB for trail, road work and touring. this bike is rubbered with 2.4 trail tires with added fenders, rack time and Super Nova lighting. I have it all covered, including spares!!! The 2 bikes were delivered and set up by Velofix. Andrew of Velofix is fantastic. I give the North Vancouver outlet, hi marks. Happy riding. Bye for now....
